Wanlockhead - Skotlandia memiliki sebuah desa yang berada di dataran tinggi. Desa Wanlockhead yang dulunya dimiliki perusahaan properti kini telah dibeli oleh penduduk.

Desa ini didirikan secara permanen pada tahun 1680 ketika Duke of Buccleuch membangun pabrik peleburan timah dan pondok pekerja.

Namun setelah empat tahun negosiasi, Komunitas Kepercayaan Wanlockhead telah setuju untuk membeli 3.863 hektar tanah di sekitar desa seharga £ 1,4 juta.
