Kamboja - Menangkap ikan tak selamanya harus dengan pancingan modern. Dalam tradisi tahunan di Kamboja, orang-orang berlomba menangkap ikan dengan cara tradisional.

Seorang pria Kamboja (Tengah) memegang ikan ular selama upacara penangkapan ikan tahunan di komune Choam Krovean di provinsi Tboung Khmum, Sabtu (18/2/2023).

Dengan menggunakan keranjang bambu buatan tangan dan jaring nilon, ratusan orang mengarungi danau berlumpur setinggi paha di Kamboja timur pada hari Sabtu untuk upacara penangkapan ikan tahunan.

Dalam tradisi ini hanya alat-alat tradisional yang boleh digunakan. Biasanya acara ini dilakukan untuk merayakan musim panen padi.

Acara adat tahunan ini dihelat di Kamboja timur, tepatnya di Provinsi Tboung Khmum yang terletak 250 kilometer dari Phnom Penh.

Biasanya ikan yang ditangkap adalah ikan lele atau gabus.

Ikan hasil tangkapan dibersihkan lalu dimasak dengan cara dibakar untuk dimakan.
