London - Sensus tahunan di kebun binatang London dimulai. Staf kebun binatang nampak sibuk menghitung ribuan penghuni yang menggemaskan. Yuk lihat.

Para penjaga berkeliling di sekitar kandang, rumah bagi lebih dari 300 spesies berbeda, menghitung semua makhluk besar dan kecil mulai dari kura-kura raksasa hingga kaki seribu sebagai bagian dari persyaratan tahunan untuk semua kebun binatang di Inggris. Sensus dimulai sejak Rabu (3/1/2024).

Saat melakukan sensus tahunan, beberapa hewan membantu penjaganya, dan koloni 74 penguin Humboldt mengantri dengan sabar untuk dihitung.

Menurut manajer operasi zoologi, Daniel Simmonds, ada sekitar 14.000 hewan yang harus diproses selama penghitungan.

Kebun Binatang London merawat banyak hewan yang terancam punah dan sangat terancam punah, termasuk beberapa spesies yang punah di alam liar.
