Dikumpulkan detikTravel dari beragam sumber, Selasa (20/2/2018) cara unik ini digunakan oleh Maxwell Tilse. Dia merupakan seorang ilustrator dari London yang hobi jalan-jalan.

Beragam tempat telah dia abadikan dalam karya ilustrasinya. Mulai dari bangunan, jembatan, sampai ikon-ikon berbagai negara. Banyak tempat telah dikunjunginya, tidak hanya sekitaran London, namun juga ke luar negeri.


Adapun negara yang pernah dikunjunginya antara lain Polandia, Australia, Hungaria, Slovakia, Republik Ceko, dan Austria. Setiap dia berkeliling dan menemukan landmark unik, Maxwell langsung menggambarnya.

Well if it isn't the old Sydney Opera House! I'm back in my home town and gee it feels good. . . The @sydneyoperahouse is perhaps the most iconic building in Australia. The site of it as a kid would always fill me with excitement and truly symbolise everything I love about Sydney. It was built between 1959 and 1973 and is now a UNESCO Heratige site. Tidak sekedar gambar asal-asalan, Maxwell menggambarnya sangat detail dan cantik. Setelah diwarnai, dia pun menggunting gambar lukis dan memfoto dengan latar bangunan yang menjadi idenya. Dia ingin mengabadikan momen travelingnya tanpa menghilangkan identitasnya sebagai seorang ilustrator.

Essouira, Morocco. Essouira (formally known as Mogador) is a small town on the western coast of Morocco. The Portuguese built the first fortress here in 1506 but lost it very quickly to the local Berber population. The powers of Europe tried in vain to recapture the town, which had become a haven for pirates, until its eventual defeat to the French in 1844. The town with its old fortifications and white and blue medina is now a UNESCO world heritage site and one of my all time favourite spots. . . You might recognise the fort from Game of Thrones.
