Jakarta - Taman hiburan di Sydney, Luna Park kembali buka untuk wisatawan setelah ditutup akibat pandemi COVID-19. Taman dibuka dengan protokol kesehatan.

Luna Park adalah taman hiburan dan tujuan wisata paling ikonis di Sydney.

Sejak ditutup akibat adanya pandemi Corona, taman yang identik dengan senyum lebarnya ini akhirnya dibuka kembali pada 3 Juli 2020.

Para wisatawan kembali bisa bermain di beberapa wahana yang ada dan tentu saja dengan protokol kesehatan.

Konsep ini didasarkan pada keberhasilan Taman Luna pertama yang dibuka di Pulau Coney, New York pada tahun 1903. Pengusaha Amerika Herman Phillips dan yang lainnya membawa gagasan itu ke Australia dan membuka Taman Luna di Melbourne pada 1912 dan Luna Park Glenelg, Adelaide pada 1930.

Luna Park adalah satu dari dua taman hiburan di dunia yang dilindungi oleh undang-undang pemerintah, dan beberapa bangunan di tempat ini terdaftar dalam Register of the National Estate dan NSW State Heritage Register.
