Lebak - Para tetua di Kampung Baduy meminta sinyal internet ditiadakan. Hal ini dilakukan agar masyarakat Baduy tak terpengaruh oleh konten negatif internet.

Dari surat yang diterima detikcom, permintaan itu disampaikan melalui surat yang ditandatangani oleh Tangtu Tilu Jaro Tujuh, Wakil Jaro Tangtu, Tanggungan Jaro 12, Wakil Jaro Warega, serta diketahui oleh Jaro Pamarentah atau Kepala Desa Kanekes. Surat tanggal 1 Juni 2023 ini dilayangkan kepada Pemerintah Kabupaten (Pemkab) Lebak.

Surat itu berisi dua permintaan. Pertama, menghapus sinyal atau mengalihkan sinyal internet di wilayah tanah Ulayat Baduy.

Kedua, permintaan membatasi atau menutup aplikasi yang berisi konten negatif yang bisa mempengaruhi moral dan akhlak generasi muda Baduy.

Saat dimintai konfirmasi, Kepala Desa Kanekes Saija membenarkan pihaknya melayangkan surat permintaan blank spot internet. Keputusan ini hasil musyawarah yang dilakukan para tetua adat.

Dia menjelaskan, permintaan blank spot internet akan difokuskan di wilayah Baduy Dalam. Sehingga pengunjung yang datang tidak bisa memainkan handphone (HP) karena tidak ada sinyal.

Saija mengatakan permintaan ini sebenarnya sudah pernah disampaikan secara lisan kepada pemerintah. Namun permintaan secara resmi melalui surat baru kali ini dilakukan.
