Islandia - Warga Islandia kembali berwisata di Blue Lagoon setelah gunung berapi di dekatnya stabil pascameletus. Meski stabil, gunung berapi itu masih memuntahkan lava.

Orang-orang berenang dengan latar belakang Gunung Berapi Grindavik yang memuntahkan lava di Pemandian Blue Lagoon, Islandia, Minggu (2/6/2024).

Salah satu tempat wisata terbesar Islandia, spa panas bumi Blue Lagoon, kembali dibuka setelah pihak berwenang mengatakan gunung berapi di dekatnya telah stabil setelah meletus.

Meski telah stabil, gunung berapi itu masih memuntahkan lava.

Dalam upaya untuk mencegah kerusakan lebih lanjut, penghalang telah didirikan untuk mengarahkan lava menjauh dari titik-titik utama infrastruktur di area tersebut, termasuk pembangkit listrik tenaga panas bumi Svartsengi dan spa panas bumi.
